ACTIVA-5 BR active infrared barrier
ACTIVA-5 BR is an advanced active infrared barrier designed for perimeter protection of objects. The device uses coded transmission of infrared beams between the transmitter and receiver, providing effective detection of violation of the protected zone inside and outside the building.
- Operating range of up to 20 m (up to 10 m outdoors)
- Coded synchronized transmission to prevent transmitter substitution
- IP44-rated hermetic design
- Can be mounted indoors and outdoors
- Operating temperature range of -25 to +55 °C
Advanced perimeter protection
ACTIVA-5 BR active infrared barrier belongs to the group of wired perimeter protection detectors and is designed to detect violations of the protected zone using multiple infrared beams transmitted between the transmitter and receiver. A new generation of electronics and software, as well as the use of a powerful, efficient processor, ensure high detection performance and resistance to electrical interference. Coded synchronized transmission prevents effective transmitter substitution, increasing the security level of the system.
ACTIVA-5 BR provides excellent performance in harsh environmental conditions such as snow, rain and falling leaves. The ability to operate outdoors in a wide range of temperatures and the appropriately selected wavelength of the emitted wavelength (950 nm) make the barrier stable in operation even in changing lighting conditions. Optical and acoustic signaling facilitates installation and precise beam alignment during installation and service.
Design and installation
The hermetic design of the new-generation ACTIVA barriers protects sensitive components from contact with water and other external agents, allowing for long-lasting expLoatation. The 131-cm-long beam and compact cross-sectional dimensions (25 mm wide and 26 mm deep) allow aesthetic installation both inside and outside the protected facility. The distances between the beams have been precisely defined, which facilitates the design of detection zones.
The manufacturer has provided for the possibility of mounting perpendicularly and parallel to the wall with dedicated brackets, which provides flexibility in the choice of installation location. Maintained gaps between the first beam and the edge of the laminate at the bottom of the barrier and between the last beam and the end of the laminate at the top of the barrier allow precise positioning of the device in relation to the protected zone. Thanks to the low weight of the device (1250 g), installation is simple and does not require excessive load on supporting structures.
