INT-FI is a converter for converting and transmitting data via fiber optic cables in alarm systems SATEL. The device provides high resistance of communication to interference and full galvanic separation of connected devices.

Application of INT-FI converter

INT-FI converter is designed for cooperation with communication buses of keypads or expanders of INTEGRA series alarm control panels, as well as with RS-485 bus of ACCO access control system. It enables the implementation of data transmission via fiber optic cables in places where long distances between devices and increased resistance to electromagnetic interference are required.

By using the appropriate type of network connection in the form of a cascade, it is possible to increase the transmission range up to 4 km, while maintaining a maximum distance of 2 km between two neighboring converters. This solution works well in extensive facilities where numerous keypads, expanders or access control system components are used.

Design and operation of the module

INT-FI is equipped with four sockets for connecting two pairs of fiber optic cables and terminals for connecting signals from three communication buses of INTEGRA control panels (one keypad bus and two expander buses) or one RS-485 bus of the ACCO system. Configuration of the converter's operation mode is carried out using jumpers on the electronics board.

Selected operating configurations are indicated by LEDs, which makes it easier for the installer to control the settings and diagnose the module's operation. The use of popular multimode optical fibers simplifies the choice of cabling and integration with the existing infrastructure in the facility.
