Purpose and functions of detection
The AOD-210 GY detector is designed to operate in a two-way wireless ABAX 2/ABAX system, both outdoors and indoors in harsh environments such as halls. The use of two detection paths (PIR with dual pyroelement and microwave) combined with advanced digital signal processing and dynamic temperature compensation ensures effective motion detection and high resistance to false alarms.
The device also enables approach zone control and realizes a pet (Pet) immunity function of up to 20 kg, which helps reduce unwanted alarms in pet-occupied facilities. Three LED indicators indicate violations in test mode, facilitating the detector's commissioning and adjustment process.
System integration and wireless communication
The AOD-210 GY is compatible with ABAX 2 system controllers (ACU-220 and ACU-280) and ARU-200 retransmitter, as well as with ABAX system controllers (ACU-120, ACU-270, ACU-250 and ACU-100 version at least 4.04), INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel and ARU-100 retransmitter - the required software version of a given device is specified in its description. In the ABAX 2 system, radio communication is encrypted in the AES standard, which increases transmission security.
The range of radio communication in the open field is up to 2000 m for ACU-220 and up to 1600 m for ACU-280 in ABAX 2 system, while in ABAX system it is up to 500 m for ACU-120 and ACU-270 controllers. The detector is characterized by low power consumption, has a battery check and an "ECO" option (in ABAX 2 system) to extend battery life.
Mechanical design and installation
The detector's housing is made of polycarbonate, has an IP54 rating and is resistant to changing weather conditions and splashing water, allowing it to be used outdoors. The detector is equipped with tamper protection against opening the housing and detachment from the ground, and complies with EN50131-1, EN50130-4 and EN50130-5 standards at environmental class IIIa.
The design of the AOD-210 GY allows it to be mounted directly on a flat surface or with dedicated brackets from the BRACKET C and BRACKET E kits, including an angle bracket (fixed angle of 45°) and a ball bracket (range up to 60° vertically and up to 90° horizontally). In addition, the BRACKET E modular bracket can be used in various element configurations (BRACKET E-1 GY, E-2B GY, E-3 GY, E-4 GY, E-5 GY) and the BRACKET E-6 tamper sensor, as well as the optional HOOD C or HOOD C GY housing-mounted protective canopy.
Additional sensors and automation
The AOD-210 GY has a built-in temperature sensor with a measurement range of -40°C to +55°C and an accuracy of ±1°C, as well as a built-in twilight sensor with sensitivity adjustment. This makes it suitable for use in home automation alarm systems, enabling temperature- and light-dependent functions without the need for additional devices. The operating frequency range of the detector is 868.0 ÷ 868.6 MHz, and the microwave frequency is 24.125 GHz.
The detector monitors the motion detection system and signals any irregularities in its operation. Configuration of the device's parameters and software update are done remotely, which facilitates service and adjustment of the detector's operation to the operating conditions.
