Characteristics and application of ACU-280
The ACU-280 provides two-way, encrypted (AES standard) communication in the 868 MHz band, with all radio transmissions between ABAX 2 system components being acknowledged, which increases the reliability and security of system operation. The controller cooperates with INTEGRA, INTEGRA PLus, VERSA and PERFECTA 64 M control panels over the communication bus, allowing the system to be expanded with a wide range of wireless devices.
The device can also be integrated with automation or measurement data acquisition systems using the Modbus RTU protocol via the RS-485 bus. Due to its compact dimensions, the ACU-280 requires a small installation space, and convenient mounting in the OPU-4 P enclosure is possible using the HOLDER A2 bracket. The controller meets the high requirements of Grade 2 of EN 50131 and Environmental Class II according to EN 50130-5.

The controller itself has the ability to update software without disassembly, provides tamper protection and has low power consumption when powered by 12 V DC.

The ACU-280 supports up to 48 wireless devices of the ABAX 2 system, including detectors, modules and other elements of the intrusion alarm system. The controller can work with wireless keypads: INT-KWRL2 (up to 4 units), VERSA-KWRL2 (up to 6 units) and PERFECTA-LCD-A2 (up to 4 units), allowing to create convenient and flexible system operation stations without the need for wiring.
In addition, the ACU-280 supports up to 248 APT-200 wireless keyfobs, which can be used to arm and disarm the system and call specific functions. Thanks to the state-of-the-art radio circuit, a very good range of communication has been achieved, reaching up to 1,600 m in open areas, depending on the cooperating devices and operating conditions.
