- Weatherproof polycarbonate housing IP54 with high mechanical and UV resistance
Application and detection functions
OPAL Pro is designed to protect outdoor areas around buildings and interiors exposed to harsh conditions, such as halls and sheds. Dual detection technology (PIR + MW) combined with an auto-adaptation algorithm provides high resistance to false alarms in rain, snow, sunshine or strong wind. The detector features a detection angle of about 100° and a range of more than 15m, with additional protection of the area directly under the detector, making it difficult for an intruder to approach for sabotage.
The device offers the ability to enable the option of not detecting small animals weighing up to 20 kg, which helps reduce the number of unwanted alarms in a property environment with small pets. The applied design solutions and digital temperature compensation guarantee stable detector operation in the temperature range of -40°C to +55°C and at humidity up to 93±3%.
Integration with automation and installation
A built-in twilight sensor with OC type output (50 mA / 12 V DC) allows the OPAL Pro to be used in alarm systems with home automation functions without the need for a separate twilight detector. The signal from the twilight output can be routed to a relay in the electrical switchboard or to the automation controller, and the detector can cooperate with the KNX system via INTEGRA series control panels, which allows to control, among others, outdoor lighting, roller blinds, garage door or entrance gate.
OPAL Pro has the ability to configure the sensitivity of the detection paths and the dusk sensor both locally (buttons on the PCB) and remotely using the OPT-1 remote control, thanks to the built-in infrared receiver. The IP54-rated polycarbonate housing is suitable for mounting directly on a flat surface or using dedicated BRACKET C brackets (45° angle or ball bracket adjustable up to 60° vertically and 90° horizontally) and BRACKET E system components to increase the distance from the wall and enable ball mounting and additional tamper protection. The detector is available in white (OPAL Pro) and gray (OPAL Pro GY) versions.
