Application and functions of the AOD-210 GY detector
The AOD-210 GY detector is designed for use in a two-way wireless ABAX 2/ABAX system, both outdoors and indoors in harsh environments such as halls. The device meets EN 50131 Grade 2 requirements for indoor applications and features high false alarm immunity thanks to advanced digital signal processing and dynamic temperature compensation.
The built-in two detection paths - a dual PIR pyroelement and a microwave path - provide effective motion detection, including approach zone control. The detector offers a pet motion immunity function of up to 20 kg, which allows it to be used in the environment of single-family homes and facilities where pets are present. The AOD-210 GY monitors the motion detection system, signaling possible malfunctions in its operation.
Construction, installation and system integration
The IP54-rated polycarbonate housing provides resistance to changing weather conditions, while tamper protection protects the device from opening the housing and detaching it from the ground. The detector can be mounted directly on a flat surface or with dedicated brackets from the BRACKET C and BRACKET E kits, allowing vertical and horizontal tilting and increasing the distance from the wall to avoid obscuring the detection field.
AOD-210 GY works with ABAX 2 system controllers (ACU-220, ACU-280) and ARU-200 retransmitter, as well as with ABAX system controllers (ACU-120, ACU-270, ACU-250, ACU-100 version min. 4.04), INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel and ARU-100 retransmitter. In ABAX 2 system, radio communication is encrypted in AES standard, and configuration and software update are performed remotely. LED indicators indicate violations in test mode, facilitating the process of commissioning and parameter adjustment.
Automation, power supply and operating parameters
The detector has a built-in temperature sensor with a measurement range of -40°C to +55°C and a twilight sensor with adjustable sensitivity, which allows it to be used in alarm systems with home automation functions without the need for additional modules. Independently adjustable sensitivity of the PIR, MW and twilight sensor tracks allows to match the operation to the environmental conditions.
The device is powered by a CR123A 3 V battery, and the low power consumption and battery monitoring allow for long operation - the expected battery life is up to 2 years. The "ECO" function in the ABAX 2 system further extends the battery life. The detector operates in the 868.0 ÷ 868.6 MHz band, offering an open-air radio communication range of up to 2000 m with the ACU-220, up to 1600 m with the ACU-280, and up to 500 m with the ACU-270 and ACU-120 controllers.
