MPD-310 detector characteristics and applications
MPD-310 is designed for wireless intrusion detection systems, especially those based on MICRA system and PERFECTA control panels. The detector performs motion detection using a passive infrared (PIR) sensor, while the digital detection algorithm and digital temperature compensation improve the effectiveness of operation in diverse environmental conditions.
The device can be operated by PERFECTA control panels (WRL and PERFECTA 64 M models with PERFECTA-RF module), VERSA-MCU controller, MTX-300 controller and MICRA alarm module (from software version 2.02). This makes the MPD-310 suitable for both small sites and extended systems where wireless motion detection is required.
Features, lenses and radio communication
As standard, the detector is equipped with a wide-angle lens with a maximum detection area of 18 x 16.5 m. It is possible to use a curtain lens (in the CT-CL cover) or a long-range lens (in the LR-CL cover), which allows to adjust the characteristics of the detection field to the specifics of the protected room. The user can also enable or disable approach zone control, which helps reduce unwanted alarms from very close areas under the detector.
The MPD-310 uses encrypted radio transmission in the 433.05 ÷ 434.79 MHz frequency band, and signals from the detector can be retransmitted by the MRU-300 module. The range of radio communication in the open area is up to 250 m for the MRU-300, up to 500 m for the MICRA / VERSA-MCU / MTX-300, and up to 600 m for the PERFECTA control panels, which provides great flexibility in the deployment of system components.
Security, diagnostics and environmental parameters
The device meets the requirements of EN 50131-1, EN 50130-4 and EN 50130-5 standards and achieves Grade 2 (for direct wall mounting) security level, suitable for professional installations in standard risk facilities. The detector has supervision of the motion detection system, battery monitoring, and tamper protection against opening the housing and detachment from the ground. An LED is used to indicate the status of the device, which facilitates commissioning and service.
The MPD-310 is suitable for operation in a wide temperature range of -10°C to +55°C, with a maximum humidity of 93 ±3%, environmental class II according to EN 50130-5. The recommended mounting height is 2.4 m, and the start-up time after power-up is 15 s. Low standby current consumption (45 µA) and power-saving mode allow an expected operating time of up to 3 years on a single CR123A battery.
