The new series combines the features of the existing DC1 and has in addition:
- sensorless vector control
- operation of modern PM, BLDC, SyncREL motors
- lacquered electronics boards - greater resistance to environmental conditions (dust, moisture)
- fire Mode, for fire fan applications.
- extended monitoring including, for example: measurement of active motor power (pump applications)

The DC1+ series has a type designation analogous to DC1 with a difference in the suffix, where the last letter N is replaced by CE1.

Full "downward" compatibility (functions and dimensions) with the DC1 series.
