Application and protection functions

The Eaton xPole Home HNA-1P-C16/30/1N/003A-WW circuit breaker is designed to protect terminal circuits in 230 V AC single-phase installations, especially in residential buildings, apartments, single-family homes and small commercial premises. The device has a dual function: it detects differential currents that can cause human shock or fire in the installation, and also protects conductors from overloads and short circuits thanks to an overcurrent member with C characteristic. Type A provides sensitivity to sinusoidal AC differential currents and to pulsating DC currents, which is important for powering modern electronic consumers, switching power supplies and household appliances. Thanks to its compact design, the RCBO replaces the separate overcurrent circuit breaker and residual current circuit breaker, reducing the number of modules in the switchboard and simplifying wiring and installation design

Construction, installation and convenience of use

The apparatus is designed as a modular unit for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail in standard low-voltage switchgear. The housing is characterized by clear marking of electrical parameters on the front, facilitating identification in the switchboard. The connection terminals are suitable for copper wires of typical cross-sections used in 16 A installations, and the design of the terminals provides a secure connection and resistance to loosening of wires during expLoatation. The built-in lever allows to manually switch on and off the circuit, as well as to quickly disconnect the power supply during service or modernization work. The unit is compatible with the xPole Home modular apparatus system, enabling consistent installation, aesthetic layout in the switchgear and dimensional compatibility with other Eaton apparatus
