Fronius Ohmpilot is a consumption controller that transfers the excess photovoltaic energy to water heating. Thanks to smooth regulation ranging from 0 to 9 kW, one can efficiently use the surplus of photovoltaic power and transfer it to household devices. Fronius Ohmpilot is primarily used for smart control of heaters in hot water boilers and buffer tanks. Other applications include, for example, infrared radiators or towel dryers. In a single-family home with average hot water consumption from April to October, this allows covering a predominant part of the demand with power from the photovoltaic installation. The result: maximum self-consumption, reduced CO2 emissions by the household, and saving on the home heating system during summer months.
