Smart functions and video analytics
The DVR uses Motion Detection 2.0 based on deep learning, active by default for all analog channels, enabling classification of targets as people or vehicles and significantly reducing false alarms caused by objects such as leaves or lights. The device supports quick search of recordings by object or event type, and offers perimeter protection (line crossing and intrusion detection) with analysis of people and vehicles for up to 4 channels. A face detection and capture function is available, including face image detection and face image search in recordings.
Video and audio inputs/outputs and network capabilities
The iDS-7108HUHI-M1/S has 8 analog BNC channels with coaxitron connection support and 4 IP channels (expandable to 12 channels), and in Enhanced IP mode, 8 IP channels (expandable to 16 channels), each up to 4 Mbps. The DVR supports HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI and CVBS signals and works with IP cameras in H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 standards at resolutions up to 8 MP. For video display, there are HDMI (up to 4K 3840×2160/30 Hz) and VGA (up to 1920×1080/60 Hz) outputs, with simultaneous HDMI/VGA output, and recordings can be played back synchronously from up to 8 channels. The total network bandwidth is 128 Mbps, with up to 64 remote connections available and a range of network protocols including TCP/IP, PPPoE, DHCP, Hik-Connect, DNS, DDNS, NTP, SADP, NFS, iSCSI, UPnP, HTTPS and ONVIF, as well as 1 RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps network interface and the ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network via an external USB dongle.

The DVR is equipped with 1 SATA interface with support for up to 10TB disk and two USB 2.0 ports on the rear panel.
