Design and Hydraulic System

The Wilo-Sub TWU 4 submersible pump features segmented impellers (radial or semi-axial) with integrated backflow protection. The discharge connection is equipped with a threaded flange and female thread. All parts in contact with the medium are made of corrosion-resistant materials.

Motor and Cooling

The pump motor is designed for direct start, with sealed windings flooded with resin and filled with glycol water. Self-lubricating bearings further increase the life of the unit. Cooling is through the medium - the pump must always be submerged during operation. Vertical mounting is possible with or without a cooling jacket (optional), while a cooling jacket is required for horizontal mounting.
